As part of the GDPR regulations affecting European Union citizens, a contact has the right to have their data removed from any records where it is stored. If a contact has requested to have their data removed from your records as part of GDPR, please contact the Helpdesk team.
Concep has developed a tool that will obscure the Contact data of any of your contacts in the system. The tool will search through all of your user accounts for a list of contacts that you provide, and it will then obscure their First Name, Last Name and Email Address, and remove any other fields listed against them, including custom fields. This will both remove the data linked to an individual, but it will also keep your overall reporting data intact, which would not be possible if the contact was fully deleted from the database.
If you require your contact’s data to be obfuscated, please provide the Helpdesk team with the following:
- A .txt file with the email addresses that need to be removed. If there is more than one, then each one will need to be on a separate line.
- Which Send accounts will the tool be searching through (i.e. Specific user account or Client, or entire Group)
- What should be displayed for the First Name, Last Name and Email Domain for the obscured contacts. The defaults are:
- First Name - Obscured
- Last Name - Contact
- Email Domain – Obscured.com
