How does List Management handle duplicates?
Duplicates can exist in two places and are dealt with in separate ways.
In all scenarios, duplicates are defined as two or more contacts sharing the same email address.
InterAction
- If there are duplicate contacts in a single InterAction folder, the contact that appears first alphabetically by Last Name will be imported.
- If there are duplicate contacts in multiple InterAction folders (i.e. contacts with the same email address appearing in different folders) the contact from the last folder to import will be imported.
Concep Send
- If a contact already exists in Concep Send, the contact's existing details for mapped fields only will be updated. Unmapped fields will not be updated.
Is there a limit to how many contacts can be imported?
Yes, there is a data retreival limit in InterAction which means the maximum amount of contacts we can import per list is 100,000. If your marketing list includes more than 100,000 contact records, we recommend that you split the list into two folders, and import them separately.
Please note that you could have a different limit in your environment, so please speak to your IT-team about what your current data retreival limit is. If you are unsure of where to find this information, or want to increase the limit, you can follow the steps in this guide.
Can you restrict/choose which folders show up in List Management?
No, you're unable to restrict which folders are shown in the list. However, the search bar at the top right corner is available for you to find specific folders.
