Disable Recipient Tracking
Send has the ability for contacts to choose if they want to disable report tracking for the emails they receive. This means that their activity will not be recorded in a campaign’s activity metrics (view, clicks, forwards, browser, time and location). However, the metrics will still report on opt outs, abuse and direct replies.
When this feature is activated, recipients will have the opportunity to disable (or enable) tracking in the Concep preference centre by clicking on the opt out link in the campaign email.
All the content within the red area is editable so that recipients are able to view your message.
If you want this feature to be activated for your account, contact Support and they will be happy to advise.
If you already have this feature activated then there are two ways of manually removing tracking for your contacts:
1) Individual Edit
Find the desired contact in the account address book. Select the dropdown arrow next to your contact name and click 'Edit'. Then select ‘Other Fields’ tab. Under this tab, one should be able to select ‘Disable Tracking’.
Please note: Support must set up the remove tracking functionality for you so that you can edit your contacts.
2) Group Upload
If you are importing contacts from an XLS or CSV spreadsheet, simply include a column named Disable Tracking and place Yes in the recipient’s row.
