Concep Send uses two main devices to track users and recipients of Campaigns/ Surveys sent through the system:
1.) 1 pixel x 1 pixel tracking GIF embedded into the code of each Campaign Template
No cookies are activated when viewing a Campaign - instead, views within the browser are tracked through image downloads. This is a tiny, transparent image in the corner of the Campaign, which when loaded from the servers tells Send that this person has viewed.
2.) Series of cookies installed onto the user or recipient’s computer when certain activities are performed
The first is the login cookie which stores login and session information when a user logs in to Concep Send.
The second is a Surveys cookie that is used to remember the session, so the recipient can return to the survey at a later date and complete filling it out.
The third is the web tracking cookie, which stores the Campaign ID. Links, online page views and similar are tracked by means of browser redirection and this cookie. This means that when you click on a link, you are taken to a personalised URL on Send servers. This records your activity, then you are redirected to the actual page with content. The cookie is valid for the browser session.
We never store personally identifiable information, nor do we use third party cookies. In compliance with the EU Cookie Law, the cookies we deploy are essential to enabling the full functionality of the Concep Send platform. You may however disable tracking to elect not to have views and interactions recorded in reports.
