When prepping your Campaign for sending, you'll need to think about configuring your Reply Management settings. Whether that be stored in Send within the Reporting section or forwarded on to the Profile Email Address and/or any other specified email address.
To access the Reply Management settings, click into an in progress Campaign and at the top of the page beneath the Profile, From and Subject lines you will see Advanced. Click show to bring up the Reply Management options. Feel free to access these links to learn more about your Profiles and how to Manage them.
Your Profiles can be customised, so you can enter any email to appear, but for the replies to go through successfully you'll need to make sure it's valid. If your Profile isn't a valid email address, you can send to any other valid email address or choose to store them in Send.
Once you have clicked Show to bring up the Advanced menu you will see that there are two different options. These are:
- Store replies and optionally forward
- Send replies directly only
By default the settings are set to Send replies directly only meaning that they are not stored in Reports and any replies will be sent directly to the Profile email address.
Using this option, you will also be able to send the replies to a separate email address i.e. the Campaign would be sent from the Profile chris.dorney@concep.com but you can specify any replies to go to ben.harris@concep.com.
The other option you can select to Store replies and optionally forward which will allow you to store your replies within the Reports section of Send. Or you can set replies to go to the profile address, or go to any other specified address.
Selecting store replies and optionally forward, will write back into the reporting of the campaign instantly and the forwards will be sent to the recipient mail server for processing. The time frame on those hitting the inbox is completely dependent on your own internal mail client settings, which is why we always suggest to add our mail server IP addresses to your allow list.
Please note that if you are to use more than one other email address, these must be separated with a semi-colon (;).
