What is a block and how do they work?
A "block" is a Templated pre-constructed section within a Drag and Drop Template. Blocks themselves are made up of layers that would include containers, content, multi-columns, images, spacers and options. Each layer is it's own individual component and each can be manipulated independently from one another, however containers that hold multiple objects such as content images and multi-column can all be altered at the same time for things like padding, background colour and borders.
The idea behind the blocks is to allow the user to have more customisation over how Campaigns are formatted and constructed. But also allowing the user to have more control over the total amount of blocks within a Campaign and the order in which they're presented.
The picture above represents a block within a drag and drop Campaign, this block is made up of multiple items each with individually determined settings.
As you can see from the image above this block comprises of 2 main layers, the first layer being the container and the second layer being the 2 content sections. Each element (container, content) have their own styling and settings. The layer 1 container has padding and a blue background, the content sections within layer each have they own padding and associated background colour.
In this example this block comprises of 3 layers, the main container --> Content (heading) --> Multi-column container --> Individual Columns. Similar to the previous example each section has their own styling, but in this case it has a multi-column container which contains additional areas which adds another layer to the overall block.
