Which domain suits your business needs?

There are two types of sending domains that can be used in Concep Send, a Subdomain and/or a Corporate Domain. These can also be used in conjunction with each other. Both a corporate domain and subdomain can be used for sending (sender email address in recipient inbox), though only subdomains can be utilized for hosting links within an email campaign (the URL that appears in a browser tab). If you choose not to use a subdomain, links within your email campaigns will be hosted on emailcc.com.

Subdomain

A Subdomain is a subdivision of a domain. An example of this would be ecomms.concep.com.

If you wish to send from a subdomain, the CNAME in your DNS record will have to point at emailcc.com.

In order to check if this has been set up correctly, you can navigate to the MXToolbox and enter the domain in the search bar, the CNAME will appear once you have selected the CNAME Lookup option using the drop down arrow. 

From here you will be able to check if the CNAME (Canonical Name) matches emailcc.com 

Corporate Domain

You also have the ability to send your Campaigns out from your Corporate Domain as your sending domain e.g. concep.com.

If you wish to use your corporate domain as your sending domain you will need to set up a TXT SPF record on the IP addresses for your existing everyday email domain.

However, if you do have a TXT SPF record you will have to append it with the following: v=spf1 include:emailcc.com -all

Once again in order to check that this has been set up correctly, you will have to navigate to the MXToolbox, enter the domain in to the search bar and using the drop down arrow, select the TXT Lookup option.

From there you will be able to check that the TXT matches the instructions: v=spf1 include:emailcc.com -all.
